In the past five years, Sacramento has steadily blossomed into a name city for video game development. With a host of talented devs, and a tight-knit community that supports and facilitates them endlessly, it’s easy to see why. That this evolution for the Sac gaming scene has been commensurate with Last Token Gaming’s existence is an absolute treat, and we’re proud to play our part!

An indispensable part of our community’s constant growth is the Sacramento Developers Collective (or SDC for short). It’s a space where anyone interested in game development can make connections, share their work, find out about meet-ups and events, and much more.

Now, SDC has started a new Discord channel for everyone to join! If you’re a developer, animator or likewise seeking to build connections, follow this link to the new hub SDC: https://discord.gg/ZJPvGZf

If you’re not familiar with Sac Developers Collective, here’s an introductory statement from its Facebook group:

Welcome to our new Sacramento Developer Collective (previously known as IGDA Sacramento)!

The purpose of this collective is simple: To create opportunity for developers & designers, both aspiring & veteran, to connect & empower one another within our up & coming Sacramento game industry!

To have a place where they can come together and communicate with one another, share ideas, form friendships and to learn ways to get into the Indie Game, Film & Music Industries PLUS, more importantly, get that project finished!

So, if you have both the drive & vision to create, this is definitely the place for you!

We have experienced professionals currently in the industry who are making Web, PC, Mobile, Console, Board games, Film & Music! These professionals include Game Designers, Programmers, Web Developers, Animators, 3D Modelers, Voice Actors & more! All are welcome!

We can help you get started! So what are you waiting for, join in on the fun!
