Song of the Day: “Treasure Trove Cove” – Grant Kirkhope, “Banjo Kazooie”

Marshall Garvey: One of my favorite scores of all-time has been, and will always be, Grant Kirkhope’s magnificent one for “Banjo Kazooie.” One of the reasons for that is how eclectic it is. Given the game’s original level variety, Kirkhope not only matched each one thematically, but made each level’s theme a classic gaming tune on its own merits. I could post any of these on any day for Song of the Day, but today we’ll go with the tropical vibes of “Treasure Trove Cove.” The burping hippo pirate excluded, naturally.
